Joshua Tree National Park is located in Southern California. It includes parts of the Mojave Desert which is at a higher elevation than the Colorado Desert, which makes ups another portion or the park. The park not only consists of Joshua trees but a variety of cacti and brush surrounded by great mounds of sandstone rock. There are numerous stops along the way where you can get out and walk through mazes of cholla cacti, hike along valleys of Joshua trees and on the sandstone rock, you can climb up high and see for miles in the surrounding area.
